“We live in a society where there is a belief, worse than any other, that we are property. The property of thought-patterns, feelings, often our own but especially of those who can only express themselves through the medium of power.
Oberon stands for liberation, to break down the barriers that keep us in bondage. “
— Bard Oberon

Rooted in the Gnostic and Rosicrucian currents, Bard Oberon uses his music to explore the inner process of human destiny. “For me, almost thirty years after I began this journey, maturity and dignity “Oberon is a universal language that reaches beyond politics, religion, gender and race, with only ONE purpose, to inspire the blooming in the listener of your own personal magic in the pursuit of becoming ALL you desire to be. “ is most important. As we get on in life, only that which has meaning on a fundamental level, is worth talking about about – things that matter not just to ourselves, but to humanity as a whole.” He sees art as a shamanistic process. In Oberon’s world, the artist is a magician. With song titles such as “Walk in twilight”, “Laniakea”, “Magus of the Dunes” and “To Live To Die”, we are enticed to enter Oberon’s darkly romantic world blending dark wave, bombastic rock and neo- folk elements into a majestic, haunting and melancholic sound that knows no boundaries. Deeply philosophical by nature, Oberon could maybe be classified as Gnostic Rock. The Gnostic and Rosicrucian elements you find in Oberon’s music can be summarized as the principles of liberation and unfoldment which are at the core of his musical universe – “Death and the mystery of being is a part of life. Our attitude towards that ultimate initiation is really what defines how we live.”
